In autumn 2012, the Neue Zürcher Zeitung (NZZ) organised a two-day capital market conference with an international scope at the Zurich Congress Centre. Numerous decision-makers and leading figures from the financial markets sector including Walter Kielholz, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Swiss Re, Thomas Jordan, the newly-appointed Head of the Swiss National Bank, and Luc Frieden, the Finance Minister of Luxembourg to name but a few, spoke on the theme of “Key Decisions for Tomorrow”.

The event focussed on economic development, the challenges facing the international capital markets and last but not least the role of the Swiss financial centre. Furthermore, particular attention was paid to the challenges facing local multinational companies in the current global competitive environment. Numerous speakers presented first hand appraisals from the standpoint of entrepreneurs.
